# Finding Beer vs DrinkLocally

The clearest difference is update cadence: DrinkLocally at every 3 weeks against Finding Beer's every 2 months. Finding Beer's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Finding Beer against 5.0 for DrinkLocally. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Finding Beer has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Finding Beer ships an update every 2 months, DrinkLocally every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
