# Block Fill Mania vs Block Puzzles

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Block Fill Mania at none against Block Puzzles's 15. Block Puzzles's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (66 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Block Puzzles sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Block Fill Mania asks for nothing beyond the download.

Block Fill Mania holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Block Puzzles has 66 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Block Fill Mania's written reviews are positive against 100% of Block Puzzles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Block Fill Mania ships an update every 5 months, Block Puzzles fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
