# MetaBrush vs Overprint

The clearest difference is update cadence: Overprint at every 6 days against MetaBrush's every 2 months. MetaBrush's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MetaBrush sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Overprint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MetaBrush ships an update every 2 months, Overprint every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
