# MerzApp vs Beatbot

The clearest difference is rating: MerzApp at 5.0 against Beatbot's 4.1. MerzApp also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Beatbot's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 25%) and ratings volume (299 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MerzApp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beatbot has 299 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of MerzApp's written reviews are positive against 63% of Beatbot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MerzApp ships an update monthly, Beatbot every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
