# CallTimer vs Second Phone Number

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CallTimer at none against Second Phone Number's 10. CallTimer also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Second Phone Number's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (64% vs 32%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Second Phone Number sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. CallTimer asks for nothing beyond the download.

CallTimer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Second Phone Number has 923 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of CallTimer's written reviews are positive against 64% of Second Phone Number's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CallTimer ships an update monthly, Second Phone Number fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
