# Photo Extension Histogram vs Pro Camera

The clearest difference is price: Pro Camera at Free against Photo Extension Histogram's $1.99. Pro Camera also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (1K vs 19). Photo Extension Histogram's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Pro Camera is free to download; Photo Extension Histogram costs $1.99 up front. Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Photo Extension Histogram asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pro Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 1K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Photo Extension Histogram's written reviews are positive against 53% of Pro Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Photo Extension Histogram ships an update monthly, Pro Camera every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
