# Sked vs Shift

The clearest difference is rating: Shift at 4.9 against Sked's 3.7. Shift also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and review sentiment (77% vs 52%). Sked's advantage is ratings volume (164 vs 11) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sked sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Shift sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shift holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sked has 164 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Sked's written reviews are positive against 77% of Shift's.

Sked ships an update every 2 months, Shift monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
