# 吾记 vs Time Caps

The clearest difference is ads: Time Caps at none against 吾记's shown. 吾记's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 156) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 吾记 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Time Caps sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for 吾记 against 4.8 for Time Caps. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 吾记 has 1.2K ratings behind it against 156, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of 吾记's written reviews are positive against 84% of Time Caps's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
