# LinkedIn Learning vs Alison

LinkedIn Learning and Alison both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 79% of Alison's written reviews are positive against 40% of LinkedIn Learning's. Alison also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). LinkedIn Learning's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#132 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LinkedIn Learning sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month and Alison sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for LinkedIn Learning against 4.8 for Alison. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LinkedIn Learning has 78K ratings behind it against 12K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of LinkedIn Learning's written reviews are positive against 79% of Alison's.

LinkedIn Learning ships an update every 3 weeks, Alison every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
