# uTalk vs Brova

The clearest difference is review sentiment: uTalk at 63% against Brova's 0%. uTalk also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 2). Brova's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 93). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uTalk sells 92 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Brova asks for nothing beyond the download.

Brova holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: uTalk has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of uTalk's written reviews are positive against 0% of Brova's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

uTalk ships an update monthly, Brova every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
