# uTalk vs Learn Mongolian

The clearest difference is rating: uTalk at 4.4 against Learn Mongolian's 1.0. uTalk also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 1). Learn Mongolian's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uTalk sells 93 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Learn Mongolian sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

uTalk holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: uTalk has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

uTalk ships an update monthly, Learn Mongolian every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
