# Bookly vs COOL Catalog

The clearest difference is rating: Bookly at 4.6 against COOL Catalog's 3.0. Bookly also leads on ratings volume (62K vs 1) and chart position (#21 vs unranked). COOL Catalog's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookly sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. COOL Catalog asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bookly holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookly has 62K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bookly ships an update monthly, COOL Catalog every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
