# Bookly vs Aleph

The clearest difference is ads: Aleph at none against Bookly's shown. Aleph also leads on update cadence (daily vs monthly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Bookly's advantage is ratings volume (62K vs 1) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookly sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Aleph sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aleph holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookly has 62K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bookly ships an update monthly, Aleph daily. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
