# Linuxer vs Talksy

The clearest difference is price: Talksy at Free against Linuxer's $7.99. Talksy also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 47%) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). Linuxer's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Talksy is free to download; Linuxer costs $7.99 up front. Talksy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Linuxer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Linuxer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linuxer has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Linuxer's written reviews are positive against 71% of Talksy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Linuxer ships an update fortnightly, Talksy every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
