# SSC Exam Guide vs Spell

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SSC Exam Guide at none against Spell's 2. Spell's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 96 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spell sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. SSC Exam Guide asks for nothing beyond the download.

SSC Exam Guide ships an update every 96 months, Spell every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
