# Shellfire VPN vs Smart Geo Position Finder

The clearest difference is rating: Smart Geo Position Finder at 5.0 against Shellfire VPN's 3.1. Shellfire VPN's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (14 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shellfire VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $10.49 per month and Smart Geo Position Finder sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smart Geo Position Finder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shellfire VPN has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shellfire VPN ships an update every 7 months, Smart Geo Position Finder every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
