# Spotlight vs Intelligence Test

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Spotlight at 68% against Intelligence Test's 30%. Spotlight also leads on ratings volume (2.1K vs 18). Intelligence Test's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spotlight sells 19 one-off in-app purchases and Intelligence Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Intelligence Test holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spotlight has 2.1K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Spotlight's written reviews are positive against 30% of Intelligence Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spotlight ships an update every 7 months, Intelligence Test every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
