# Macey's vs The Crepery

The clearest difference is rating: The Crepery at 5.0 against Macey's's 2.1. The Crepery also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Macey's's advantage is ratings volume (80 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Crepery holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Macey's has 80 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Macey's ships an update fortnightly, The Crepery every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
