# Flare vs CliqWave

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flare at 6.7K against CliqWave's 25. Flare also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flare against 4.9 for CliqWave. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flare has 6.7K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Flare's written reviews are positive against 100% of CliqWave's.

Flare ships an update every 3 days, CliqWave every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
