# Flare vs Villaj

The clearest difference is rating: Flare at 4.9 against Villaj's 4.2. Flare also leads on ratings volume (6.8K vs 10) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Flare holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flare has 6.8K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of Flare's written reviews are positive against 100% of Villaj's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flare ships an update every 3 days, Villaj every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
