# Flare vs The CollegeKey

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flare at 6.9K against The CollegeKey's 4. Flare also leads on chart position (#130 vs unranked) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flare against 5.0 for The CollegeKey. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flare has 6.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
