# Flare vs FlareChat

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flare at 6.7K against FlareChat's 3. Flare also leads on chart position (#76 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flare against 5.0 for FlareChat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flare has 6.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Flare's written reviews are positive against 100% of FlareChat's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
