# Flare vs Meden

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flare at 6.9K against Meden's 12. Flare also leads on chart position (#180 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flare against 5.0 for Meden. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flare has 6.9K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Flare's written reviews are positive against 100% of Meden's.

Flare ships an update every 4 days, Meden weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
