# Flare vs Beta Central

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flare at 6.7K against Beta Central's 3. Flare also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days) and chart position (#82 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flare against 5.0 for Beta Central. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flare has 6.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Flare's written reviews are positive against 100% of Beta Central's.

Flare ships an update every 3 days, Beta Central every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
