# Flare vs Proximitii

The clearest difference is update cadence: Flare at every 3 days against Proximitii's every 6 weeks. Flare also leads on ratings volume (6.8K vs 8) and chart position (#134 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flare against 5.0 for Proximitii. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flare has 6.8K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Flare's written reviews are positive against 100% of Proximitii's.

Flare ships an update every 3 days, Proximitii every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
