# DriveCentric vs Zurich Shield

The clearest difference is rating: DriveCentric at 4.6 against Zurich Shield's 3.8. DriveCentric also leads on ratings volume (8.9K vs 14). Zurich Shield's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 39%) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DriveCentric holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DriveCentric has 8.9K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of DriveCentric's written reviews are positive against 50% of Zurich Shield's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DriveCentric ships an update every 5 days, Zurich Shield every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
