# BlockyTime vs PM Cat

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BlockyTime at 230 against PM Cat's 2. BlockyTime also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). PM Cat's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $3.99) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 weeks). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

BlockyTime costs $3.99 and PM Cat $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BlockyTime against 5.0 for PM Cat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlockyTime has 230 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BlockyTime ships an update every 4 weeks, PM Cat every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
