# Revry vs MagellanTV Documentaries

The clearest difference is rating: MagellanTV Documentaries at 4.6 against Revry's 3.9. MagellanTV Documentaries also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3.9K vs 61). Revry's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (62% vs 37%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Revry sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and MagellanTV Documentaries sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MagellanTV Documentaries holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MagellanTV Documentaries has 3.9K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Revry's written reviews are positive against 37% of MagellanTV Documentaries's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Revry ships an update monthly, MagellanTV Documentaries every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
