# Eight Sleep vs Honest Scale

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Honest Scale at 100% against Eight Sleep's 29%. Honest Scale also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Eight Sleep's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 4) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eight Sleep sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month and Honest Scale sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Honest Scale holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eight Sleep has 18K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of Eight Sleep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Honest Scale's.

Eight Sleep ships an update every 3 days, Honest Scale fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
