# Degreed vs Trans

The clearest difference is rating: Trans at 5.0 against Degreed's 3.6. Trans also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Degreed's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trans holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Degreed has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Degreed ships an update every 4 weeks, Trans every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
