# Hosted Cloud Video vs Security Cloud Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Hosted Cloud Video at 4.7 against Security Cloud Camera's 4.2. Hosted Cloud Video also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 21 months) and ratings volume (488 vs 6). Security Cloud Camera's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and iOS requirement (11.3 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hosted Cloud Video holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hosted Cloud Video has 488 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Hosted Cloud Video's written reviews are positive against 100% of Security Cloud Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
