# Points Scan vs PlusPortals

The clearest difference is rating: Points Scan at 4.8 against PlusPortals's 1.4. Points Scan also leads on review sentiment (32% vs 9%) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 142). PlusPortals's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Points Scan holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.4.
