# Boxer vs Citrix Secure Mail

Boxer and Citrix Secure Mail both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 81% of Citrix Secure Mail's written reviews are positive against 28% of Boxer's. Boxer's advantage is ratings volume (77K vs 5.9K) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Boxer against 4.5 for Citrix Secure Mail. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boxer has 77K ratings behind it against 5.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
