# NWEA Secure Testing vs AR Orbitals

The clearest difference is rating: AR Orbitals at 2.8 against NWEA Secure Testing's 1.5. AR Orbitals also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months) and device support (3 vs 1). NWEA Secure Testing's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AR Orbitals holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NWEA Secure Testing has 1.4K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of NWEA Secure Testing's written reviews are positive against 17% of AR Orbitals's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NWEA Secure Testing ships an update every 8 months, AR Orbitals every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
