# NWEA Secure Testing vs AIS school

The clearest difference is rating: AIS school at 5.0 against NWEA Secure Testing's 1.5. AIS school also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months) and device support (3 vs 1). NWEA Secure Testing's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 1) and review sentiment (18% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AIS school holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NWEA Secure Testing has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of NWEA Secure Testing's written reviews are positive against 0% of AIS school's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NWEA Secure Testing ships an update every 8 months, AIS school every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
