# MobileDetect vs iVe

MobileDetect and iVe both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of MobileDetect's written reviews are positive against 0% of iVe's. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iVe holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of MobileDetect's written reviews are positive against 0% of iVe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
