# Talkroute vs UniTel Voice

The clearest difference is rating: Talkroute at 4.6 against UniTel Voice's 3.9. Talkroute also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Talkroute holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talkroute has 254 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Talkroute's written reviews are positive against 81% of UniTel Voice's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Talkroute ships an update every 6 weeks, UniTel Voice every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
