# Send SOS vs accesSOS

The clearest difference is rating: Send SOS at 5.0 against accesSOS's 4.4. accesSOS's advantage is review sentiment (90% vs 50%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Send SOS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: accesSOS has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Send SOS's written reviews are positive against 90% of accesSOS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Send SOS ships an update every 7 months, accesSOS monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
