# Cat vs Smash Runner!

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cat at 75% against Smash Runner!'s 22%. Cat also leads on ads (none vs shown). Smash Runner!'s advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (14K vs 4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cat sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Smash Runner! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smash Runner! holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smash Runner! has 14K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Cat's written reviews are positive against 22% of Smash Runner!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cat ships an update every 3 weeks, Smash Runner! weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
