# Split vs Periodic Table

The clearest difference is rating: Periodic Table at 4.8 against Split's 4.2. Periodic Table also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (5.4K vs 5). Split's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Periodic Table sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Split asks for nothing beyond the download.

Periodic Table holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Periodic Table has 5.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Split ships an update every 4 months, Periodic Table every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
