# Split vs CellWalk

The clearest difference is rating: CellWalk at 4.9 against Split's 4.2. CellWalk also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (71 vs 5). Split's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 27.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CellWalk sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Split asks for nothing beyond the download.

CellWalk holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CellWalk has 71 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Split ships an update every 4 months, CellWalk every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
