# Splash Host vs State HIT Connect

The clearest difference is rating: State HIT Connect at 4.0 against Splash Host's 3.3. Splash Host's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

State HIT Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Splash Host has 29 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
