# BBC America vs TriviaShaker

The clearest difference is rating: TriviaShaker at 5.0 against BBC America's 1.8. TriviaShaker also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). BBC America's advantage is ratings volume (590 vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TriviaShaker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BBC America has 590 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BBC America ships an update monthly, TriviaShaker every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
