# Type Book vs Nowlater

The clearest difference is ads: Type Book at none against Nowlater's shown. Type Book also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Type Book sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Nowlater sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Type Book ships an update weekly, Nowlater every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
