# VolksWorld vs Tentacle Pulp

The clearest difference is monetization model: VolksWorld at free with in-app purchases against Tentacle Pulp's subscription. VolksWorld also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1). Tentacle Pulp's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 13 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VolksWorld sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Tentacle Pulp sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for VolksWorld against 5.0 for Tentacle Pulp. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VolksWorld has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VolksWorld ships an update every 13 months, Tentacle Pulp every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
