# Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+ vs CompTIA Practice Tests 2026

Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Practice Tests 2026 both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of CompTIA Practice Tests 2026's written reviews are positive against 41% of Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+'s. CompTIA Practice Tests 2026 also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+'s advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 5). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+ sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $20.99 per month and CompTIA Practice Tests 2026 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+ has 1.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+'s written reviews are positive against 80% of CompTIA Practice Tests 2026's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pocket Prep CompTIA Security+ ships an update every 3 weeks, CompTIA Practice Tests 2026 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
