# Infinitum vs Journa

The clearest difference is rating: Infinitum at 4.2 against Journa's 3.0. Infinitum also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.2 vs 13.0). Journa's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Infinitum holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Infinitum has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Infinitum ships an update every 3 months, Journa weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
