# GLOBE Observer vs Meteo AR

GLOBE Observer and Meteo AR both sit at 3.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 34% of GLOBE Observer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Meteo AR's. GLOBE Observer also leads on ratings volume (86 vs 6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Meteo AR holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GLOBE Observer has 86 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of GLOBE Observer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Meteo AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GLOBE Observer ships an update every 2 months, Meteo AR every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
