# Derdost vs ReelType

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ReelType at none against Derdost's 3. ReelType also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Derdost's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and ratings volume (30 vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Derdost sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. ReelType asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReelType holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Derdost has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Derdost ships an update weekly, ReelType monthly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
