# TIMEBOX vs Cosmos

TIMEBOX and Cosmos both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 97% of TIMEBOX's written reviews are positive against 57% of Cosmos's. TIMEBOX also leads on iOS requirement (8.1 vs 18.0). Cosmos's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (5.4K vs 38). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TIMEBOX sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cosmos sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for TIMEBOX against 4.7 for Cosmos. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cosmos has 5.4K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of TIMEBOX's written reviews are positive against 57% of Cosmos's.

TIMEBOX ships an update every 3 weeks, Cosmos every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
